Dark-eyed Junco

A study of the Dark-eyed Junco- Junco hyemalis- Passerine Sparrow of N. America. Wikipedia states that as many as twelve different sub-species exists. I the images I have presented here are what are referred to as Oregon Juncos.

Fun to watch and photograph, they are year-round residents here in the PNW. We had nests all over our property, we had to be careful Not to step on a nest as they out in the open grass. Did not mow for 6 weeks!

Another great enjoyable set Timothy.
Very good captured. They are fun to watch. I have seen some of these Oregon sub before but not nearly as often as others
