One note about Anthony Morganti..Of all the tutorial teachers I have ever watched, Anthony is the clearest and most easy to understand person I have watched……

Agree 👍
And he teaches at a pace even I can follow.

No offense to you cause you're just posting the link, but if I see one more video extolling generative fill and expand, I'll go crazy. When it first came around in the 2023 beta version, everybody was having photogasms about it. But once you delve deeper, you find out it's basically useless for photographic work because of it's 1024 ( I think that's the correct number) pixel restriction. And that's spread out over the the width and length of the image
Imagine that spread out over a 40, 50, or 100mp image.
There is a complicated workaround but too much trouble. I think in the future they plan on upping the res.

I have no interest in creating images with generative fill. BUT, it's worked wonders when content-aware fill can't do the job.

Was just this week. I entered sunset crepuscular rays and it kept putting red umbrellas in. my sky. It also does terrible with human faces and hands. I'm not the only one who has experienced stuff like this.

Horrible with hands and feet. Ruins the image.

Yes sometimes they look like physical deformities. And I had a couple faces that looked like monsters.

I watched the video and have watched all of Anthony's previous videos about the beta version which I had also. And it basically confirmed what I said. Although they've upped the res to 2000 pixels, that's still totally unusable for any photo except a web jpeg. Try printing an A3 print with that resolution. Also notice the examples he tried it on were all out of focus blurry backgrounds where the low res might not be noticed so much.

That's right.
The Model T didn't offer the turbocharge option yet either.
I guess if it ain't perfect it will never be. Right?

And the Model T will never go 120 mph even with a turbocharger. Don't put words in my mouth. The discussion is about generative fill at the "PRESENT" time, not the future.

This whole credit thing is a bit confusing. Will that include subject detection, when you do it online? If they are not really charging for it what's the point? I do not use Photoshop that often but I think someone who relies on it professionally could be put a disadvantage if they have big project and run out of credits

Thanks. I don't know where his/her comment came from. I'm not the only one who feels this way about the generative fill. This guy backs up everything I've said about it's use in being able to make prints. It's great for Instagram or removing small things from your images where the resolution doesn;t matter much.
