Can’t possibly see how this new format is an improvement. What on earth was wrong with going to the sections you subscribed to, seeing what was new or what interested you, and moving on.
How does having a long list of old topics interspersed with brand new posts, In NO order, make things easier?

Why does this make sense? It seems like someone just opened a file cabinet and emptied all of the contents into a pile. Now it seems we have to sort through the pile to find the files I am interested in. What a mess. Who thought this would be better?

I agree. The new format doesn't work for me. It wasn't broke so you shouldn't have tried to fix it.

This is topic #18 on the subject, though I don't have them in order.

This change reminds me of working in the corporate environment. Senior corporate managers have to impress stockholders and investors that they are innovative and forward looking by making changes. So they direct that changes in structure and responsibilities be made in the organization, an organization which is already a well oiled machine in its operation due to everyone’s familiarity with everyone’s responsibilities and roles. They used to call it “Process Re-Engineering”. It rarely made tangible improvements in operations and profits. Change for the sake of change is rarely successful in making things better.

If not broken, why fix it? I liked it the old way.

Pretty much like the "New Coke". When something is well liked and successful, change it and upset your market. I don't like it or agree with it, but I shall adapt or ...

It's so pleasing to know that so many people love the new format.

Seems to be a prime example of the old saw, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The new "format" seems not to have a format. Just list everything in some undefined "order." Sorry for the quotation marks but as far as I'm concerned, the random listing is unusable. I'll check in for the next few days (as I have for the last many years), just to see if we've returned to what has worked so well. If not, regrets, but so long. Life's too short to have to slog through everything submitted to find what used to be presented so conveniently.

Me too... this is like getting rid of the directories on your C: drive.... no folders, just a list of 50,000 files... makes no sense at all.

I wonder if the administrators are reading our frustration with this new unformat format and taking note! If so, please correct your mistake!
