I don't think it is poor driving skills that make USA roundabouts terrible, I think it's bad design.
There's a roundabout near us that you essentially have to drive through an S curve BEFORE you even enter the roundabout. So it's turn left, turn right, turn left, turn right. This isn't the Monaco Grand Prix!
