Could be for ego’s sake, but their personal monuments could have been built because no one gave them attention during their short lifetimes.

There are several that have Tiffany-stained glass windows which would be worth a treasure today.

Thanks sippyjug. Another midwest cemetery with lots of beautiful mausoleums is Mt. Mora, in St. Joseph, MO.

Nice set, Where I grew up, I often walked around the old cemeteries. They are interesting.
