Mausoleums

I hope that not too many find this morbid, but I sometimes enjoy going thru old cemeteries and looking at the information on the stones. I found these mausoleums yesterday in a cemetery here in Omaha and tried to photograph them.

Some of the cemeteries have some great (works of art), within the
perimeters of [the estates] that people have erected in honor of
their departed loved ones. For many their Monument is the only
think of "worth" that they left behind. Sad epitaphs for those
that only had money to leave behind, and were void of any
good memories or love for their families.
I hope I chose a great (vase) or urn that is lovely to the eye.

A friend was obsessed with these monuments. When asked why her reply was "They are permanent." When informed that the original pyramids of Egypt had smooth facades she lost interest.
