I probably should have addressed this in that other sub-forum, but I've been around long enough that this spot is home to me and this is where I'm going to put it.
Back in 1964, I got into drag racing at a fairly serious level. Strictly as an amateur, not at the pro structure of the sport. I ran solely in sanctioned events, at sanctioned tracks, governed by the regulations that existed at that time. I participated at tracks ranging from mid Florida into south Georgia. I ran a 1964 GTO in the stock class.
I had two good friends that constituted " my team ". They were the wrenches and counselors that kept me on the straight and narrow path.. Once, at a drivers meeting, one of my buddies overheard one of our top competitors tell another top competitor to watch out for me....that I was more dangerous than a black mamba. We couldn't quit cackling over that. I had some graphics done up and put on the car with that name.
In subsequent years, I've used that handle on every occasion on forums and such on the internet that I participate in. I even use it on a small business I started.
I'm obviously not dangerous. I do feel good about the folks on this forum.
The photo is my wife and I getting ready to gobble up some great wings at a neat place in Blowing Rock, NC.
I probably should have addressed this in that othe... (

I was 13 in 1964 and I do remember when the GTO first came out I just love them and I actually had a 1966 GTO myself. It’s always nice to see a picture of the members and this is a lovely picture of you and your wife. Thank you for posting.
