Functional simplicity... I had a 1936 5 window... it had AC... the windshield opened and the back deck window rolled down and the wind kept you cool evaporating your sweat.

Until you stopped😉

Well Hoggers I had just drove around the corner to the local grocery store about ? uh, a couple of years ago maybe 4. When I came out I saw this old truck, I think it is a 1920 Ford and all I had with me was my Samsung Galaxy S6. So the nit pickers may chime in and school me if this should have been posted on the cell phone topic. Oh well here ya go. The owner came out and allowed me to take some photos of his truck. It is almost mostly original and runs really good. He was very nice and told me all about it. I was NOT ready for this, so strap in and check out a living running piece of history.

It's a Model A Ford. 1928-1931. Not sure which year. He's converted the 6 volt generator to a 12 volt alternator system. The rest looks stock, and in really nice condition. Thanks for posting.

I meant to mention the 6 to 12 volt upgrade but forgot to. Thank you for pointing this out. That is why I posted two images of the under the hood. Yes it is all stock and mostly original.
Thank you for the reply.

Thank you for the reply. Yupper, Manglesphoto pointed this out to me and sent me a link with those models. I only noted 1920 on the post because that is what is on the license plate and since it has been a couple of years, I either forgot for just failed to note it down. I am sue the owner told be. He explained a lot to me since he had in the family for many years. Either way I pulled these from a back up after a puter crash and thouught it would nice to post.

Thank you, yes it is and I was fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time. I had just ran up to the grocery store for a quickie and when I came out, there it was. The owner was a minute behind me and enjoyed me taking these photos of his beloved truck. Yup, it's living history.

I call those who always feel the need to say that some post should be in another section "space police." Who needs them? If Admin thinks it should be moved, he'll move it!

Ah I see now said the blind man. Thank you for opening my understanding. I always try to post in the right section but since I used a cell phone at that time I was a little bit unsure but I felt Gallery was the focus point.
Thank you for commenting to me. I really appreciate your post too.
Happy Summer young lady.

As they say, the best camera is the one you have with you at the time you see something special. Nice set of photos and I did somewhat of a double-take when I saw the trailer hitch on the truck!

Maybe. However, they do have 6-volt alternators. I never knew that until I watched a car show (Roadworthy Rescues, Derek Bieri) where a guy found & rebuilt a Model A in Detroit. He mentioned that he was installing an alternator specifically designed for a 6-volt system. He also toured the very building where these were made.
