Well Hoggers I had just drove around the corner to the local grocery store about ? uh, a couple of years ago maybe 4. When I came out I saw this old truck, I think it is a 1920 Ford and all I had with me was my Samsung Galaxy S6. So the nit pickers may chime in and school me if this should have been posted on the cell phone topic. Oh well here ya go. The owner came out and allowed me to take some photos of his truck. It is almost mostly original and runs really good. He was very nice and told me all about it. I was NOT ready for this, so strap in and check out a living running piece of history.

Thank you. I was not anyway ready for that. It sure as hell is not something I see very often at all. It runs great too, he drives it around and if I recall he has the history of it and keeps it as much original as possible even though we can see a modern looking alternator on the engine. I was just lucky that day and wish I could gathered more information and better pictures.

It's a Model A Ford. 1928-1931. Not sure which year. He's converted the 6 volt generator to a 12 volt alternator system. The rest looks stock, and in really nice condition. Thanks for posting.

Ready or not, it was a great set of a truck with character!! All these new vehicles look the same. Can't tell them apart from a distance. Older cars had character and style. And YOU COULD tell them apart from a distance.

Thank you gray.
For sure the older cars really had class and style. Many of the ones are just clones of each other and just look boring.

Functional simplicity... I had a 1936 5 window... it had AC... the windshield opened and the back deck window rolled down and the wind kept you cool evaporating your sweat.
