I am smoking some ribs this afternoon and that should make the smoke that is going into the States a little more tolerable. :sm09

The US has had a bunch of forest fires (ie. California). You are not alone.
I'll admit, forest fires in Canada are very rare. Maybe it's because of the 85% item being SO much lower.

As a Canadian, I can tell you with certainty that forest fires in Canada are NOT rare. Right now, here in British Columbia, we are experiencing the worst forest fire on record. Any area in Canada that has forests is subject to wildfires each year. Fire season in Canada starts on May 1st each year and as we are experiencing abnormally high temperatures and low rainfall in the forest regions, both the quantity and severity of forest fires currently burning exceed what is usually experienced for all of the annual fire season which ends on October 31st each year. The Canadian weather service forecasts a hot dry summer for almost all of the forested regions in Canada this year.

Obviously "rare" as in not covered by the US media.....
If we don't hear about it, it hasn't happened????

I have been living in Ontario for the past 68 years and have never seen smoke like this before.

Canada has invaded the US -- with smoke. Here in the Lehigh Valley of PA, the Canadian wildfires are causing health problems as the smoke is overwhelming us! The smoke is so dense, you can't really see much over a quarter mile. Here are some shots of what we are seeing -- it's like a fog except it makes eyes water and causes coughing.

My sister lives in Bath and says that the Lehigh Valley is the worst location in the country for smoke migration from Canada.

Bath, PA I'll guess.
Not Bath, Maine or New York.

Take care. Would wearing a full face mask help? Maybe one of the many available filter can help with the smoke particles.

Horrible situation and I appreciate the shots.
I have friends in Easton and they are very unhappy. Wear your mask!
