CA People are sure moving here to TN - some are republican wanting a red state and some want less taxes but still lean liberal so this state is turning purple. The same will happen to FL and TX. As people can work from anywhere continues, you'll continue to see the great internal migration. As TN's population grows, so must the infrastructure. That means higher taxes. It's hard to tell where the circle begins.

Parts of Tennessee are very attractive and is experiencing growth and would definitely be one of the states on my radar and I could move. Unfortunately I value my time and activities with my children and grandchildren too much.
California is the state with the highest cultural diversity in the country and having lived here for my 74 years I never gave it much thought but it surely enriches (for the most part) our state. I believe we have the most geologically diverse state as well. We have 840 mile long coast, highest mountain in the continental 48, lowest point (except for Gavin) in Death Valley, Sierra Nevada Mountains, deserts, and fertile valleys. It is the lopsided super majorities and their policies that screw it up. I never want the truly needy to fall through the cracks but a policy should identify a need for the greater good, should be an enumerated function of government, be measurable and attainable and be funded in a fiscally responsible manner. I don’t think that is too much to ask of public policy.

Well John I would think it would depend upon the state she lives in. If that state does not allow abortions then, YES, she would, as far as I know right now, need to go to another state where abortions are legal. Now if you don't them apples then do NOT come to America.

To be honest there is not one state in America that could be called a shithole state. But if there was it would definitely be California, the state run by the most corrupt and dumbest Governor in that state, Gavin Newsom, the Governor who made shitting in the streets in front of the finest restaurants popular.
