just a clarification, are the color photos in any way post processed. I am guessing yes, but i might be wrong.
The color 1 and 3 are really good. Did you use a "professional Portrait" software on the subjects face as it certainly is super soft/smooth.

No, I just messed around with it in PicMonkey.com.
I know everyne is probably going to slam me for for this one, but in my "inexperienced eye" I really like the way it came out, I just finished up with it.......
FWIW, I like both the latest efforts. The full color shot is best, but the other is certainly interesting. Good job.

Too much or rather, too overdone in the skin smoother and too much in the eye whitener. When smoothing the skin, do it on a separate layer and then reduce the opacity to show some skin texture back through the smoothing job but still keeping the skin somewhat soft, even if they have a load of pimples.
When it is so overdone that it looks flat, it looks so fake that no one would ever believe her skin really looked like that. It was a fad for a very short time, when photographers smoothed the skin to look like a porcelain doll face but that era is now long past. Soften skin for sure but don't make it look flat and unrealistic.

That didn't help. I don't think there is any way to recover those blown out highlights. If the tonal range isn't in the original, nothing is going to bring them back.
