Wonderful exit, Tony! Were the first ones on Capisic Trail?
@pebbles p.33
You "write" extremely well with "light". Love the lines/curves that envelope the one human in the light and graceful bend of the arc. Thanks so much for sharing.

Well, it's time to close my file on steps and stairs, with many thanks to you, Pat, for the challenge. You drew out a lot of wonderful images and memories. As is so often the case, I found more eligible images than I expected and it was a joy; but they reaffirm that as the wisdom of age teaches, if you can't just stride out, steps can be a real pain . . . for young and old alike
You are so right, Ron. Thanks so much for your participation. Now, DON'T TRIP! Watch out for the stairs.

p.29 Downtown Kennebunkport has changed a bit since you've been through, but I know exactly where the blue house is and it is still just as gorgeous
It was fun to visit this area. I had never been there. As I walked around, I found it very nostalgic seeing the older homes. So reminiscent of where I grew up.
Too bad things have to change. Downtown Kennebunk (never knew of it before) and Kennebunkport were very charming back then. Hopefully, still. Just in a different way.

I have a work day tomorrow so these will be the last of my stairs. Some we've seen on various vacetions we've taken over the years.
Great shots. No. 1 is my favorite. Always like to see what's at the end/top of something like this. Good to know that it's Diamond Head. Now I don't' have to experience how one gets to the top!!! Phew..

Final set for this wonderful Challenge: "Stairs"
Thanks again, Pat, for hosting and for coming up
with a unique idea for a challenge.
Thanks also to everyone that took the time to
contribute your images!

Great finale, Tim. I look and look at that shot and you're right. I can't tell which way those stairs are going. Interesting.

I enjoyed this whole set, but especially the photograph of the Louvre spiral stairs.

Thanks Tony. I don't quite know what it is, but something about that image grabs me

Thought I would do 'stairs' a little closer to home. After taking little trips to eastern Washington for years and passing this "Wallace Falls" sign as we went through one of the small towns, I mentioned that it would be nice to see what they were all about. So... Now, I have always considered myself as an outdoorsy person, hunting, camping, fishing, gardening, walking, etc., but I have done very little hiking or walking on actual groomed trails. Well... I found out a bit of what it was like. Getting to the first falls was great, a beautiful fir forest, well kept trail (labeled "Moderate", cascading brooks, and a impressive and gorgeous waterfall. Well, there was still another waterfall a 1/2 mile up. I had to go. It was labeled "More Difficult". Not knowing what that really meant, I figured no problem. Well, never mind the 'steps'. Sometimes, it was difficult to figure out where the trail was.

I would call these natural steps but it was the best way I could see to continue. Can I get up? Can I then come down? Maybe on my rear. So, let's go for it.

Interesting picture of stairs. Shape so different and coming and going out of nowhere.
