I had a 1964 GTO but I vote for a Duesenberg. Check out the ACD museum.

It's right up there for sure. I had a poster of the '66 GTO on my bedroom wall as a teenager. I also have a soft spot for the '68 Camaro and ca. '34 street rods.

Indeed beautiful, but the Chrysler La Baron, designed by Massarotti is a timeless live forever classic that could be revived by Tesla. I loved my convertible!!

As a former owner, I would disagree. Yes, I do like the style of the 67 vs the 66, but most beautiful no. That is reserved for the 1969 Dodge Charger.

My GTO was maroon with a black vinyl top, 400 engine and automatic transmission. I quickly found that it was a great boulevard cruiser and less performance car than Pontiacs advertising proclaimed. Then there was the poor fuel mileage, yes at .30 cents per gallon milage still mattered.
I drove it for a few months then parked it for the winter. It was replaced by a Studebaker that spring.

My first guess was that it was going to be an XKE, but you can't go wrong with a GTO either.

When I was 21, I certainly thought it was the most beautiful. 😊

Another beauty in my opinion, the Chevelle, also a '67.

I lusted after the ‘66 Pontiac GTO. Absolutely loved the sound of that car.

For years I did have a 1991 Smoke Silver Mercedes 560 SEC. Reminded me of the ‘66 GTO. The Mercedes was a much more solid and performance car. I drove it for 10 years and put 200,000 miles on it before it unfortunately turned into a money pit for maintenance repairs.

When I was much younger (about 14 y.o.) while playing in a tree house I heard the low rumble of a car approaching and I looked down just in time to see a C1 (1st Corvette Model) Convertible (top-down) in Roman Red with white coves passing by within twenty feet of our tree house. I had seen pictures of them in car magazines so I knew what it was. I always "Planned" to get one and "He" kept assigning me other priorities. Finally, when I retired at age sixty I called a no "Baloney" Corvette Dealer in NJ (I lived in Va) and I ordered a brand new Corvette (2008 C6 Model) with a deep blue see-through removable hardtop, bright wheels, dual-mode exhaust, 376 c.i./346 h.p., six-speed manual Xmission, in Atomic Orange Metalic and Tan Interior. Road tests for this setup are 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds and a quarter mile e.t. of 12.4 seconds. Sure, it takes high test gas but it gets 23+ mpg combined driving. At 60 mph the engine only turns 1400 rpm. Amazingly our Toyota Highlander (V6 engine) gets only 22 mpg on a trip, yikes.

OK, now what was the question????
Oh yes, it has to be the first body style (1953) C1 Corvette.

Very sweet ride! The engineers have turned performance into pleasure as my C-7 gets 30 mpg on the open road. AFM works wonders in the economy area. My B-I-L has a turbo Porsche that doesn't come close to 30 mpg and we run dead-even in the Quarter Mile Grudge Match. Bring on the Italians!!!
