I had family there, I have run 3 NYC marathons in the 1990s and loved the city. While I ran ran the Marathons my wife was able to walk the streets around Central Park until it was time to meet me at the family reunion area. I won't step foot into the city now. That's a shame because I never did get to B&H.

When you visit, as you face the store, look across the street to the left. There is a deli that makes great sandwiches. I usually get pastrami and swiss on rye with spicy mustard, a bag of chips, and a soda. People will make you think any meal in downtown Manhattan will cost you $50 but that just isn't so. There are plenty of places to eat where you will not pay any more than you do back home.

They are also closed on Friday afternoon and all day on Saturday. Great helpful people to work with.

I can see buying used but am skeptical about ebay and possible problems. I would trust some used camera dealers who are mentioned here

They close at 1 this Friday. Always check the times because they change through the year. I have spent a lot of time and money in Manhattan so I know the place. Just never got to B&H but spent a lot with them online.

Just go there. Iāve been to the one in NYC-quite an experience. Itās located on 9th Ave which is not far from the train station,
