Circle B Reserve as previously mentioned, Staskey Park, Phillipe Park in Saftey Harbor, Brooker Creek Reserve outside if Tarpon Springs, Tampa aquarium, USS Liverty Ship beside it, Tampa Museum, Tampa Theatre (over 110 years old). Cedar Key about 1 1/2 hr north kf Tarpon….( gives great idea o what old Florida was like in early 60s).

Cedar Key is more like 2-2 1/2 hours north of Tarpon Springs

[quote=jjenk]What are some places within an hour+/- drive from Clearwater for photography opportunities. I'll be there the last two weeks of January.

Thank you![/quote

I don't know about 1 hours drive, but one of my favorite places to go when in Clearwater is the Hooters Restaurant.
It is the very 1st Hooters to open (It's the original). I never miss it when visiting friends down there.

Take a drive up US301 to Zephyr Hills to the municipal airport and stop in at Skydive City. Lots of skydiving activity to shoot. Haven't been there in a while but you should be able to ride in the jump plane as an observer, for a nominal fee, of course. Mainly Twin Otters but you never know when a C-46 or C-47 is going to be active.

Go over to St. Petersburg and visit the Salvador Dali Museum. Plenty of photographic opportunities inside and out.
Enjoy!
