It turns out that Zeke is a relentless hunter that has even had success with squirrels. To slow down the hunting, my wife makes him wear claw covers and a harness complete with a tracking device and a bell. Also, Zeke is now only allowed outside in the early morning before daylight. This has slowed him down, and I have been trying to change his name to "Crappy Cat" without success. Some of my other thoughts on the cat follow.
