Great series Mike. Lake Mead looks so sadly low. I can remember when the lake was at its peak, but that was many years ago. Don't think anyone back then ever thought the lake would ever go as low as it is now. Hoping that the rain and snow in the mountains will help to fill the lake back up again. Again a fabulous series. Mahalo for sharing.

At the end of our day visiting Grand Canyon West, we stopped by Hoover Dam on the way back to Las Vegas. The sun was setting, so I skipped the tour of the inside of the dam and took shots as the sun set.

Of course, as in most federal parks, animals have the right of way. While I was in the parking lot waiting for the dam tour participants, local animals set out for an evening stroll. We got past them on the way out, but I do not know how they were handled.

Comments and suggestions are welcome.

Great capture of the dam Mike! We all hope there will be enough water to fill it.

Very nice set, Mike. We need a good snow year as your images point to the low water levels. Let's pray for a snowy winter.

Great series, Mike. You can sure see how far down the water level is now.

the trials and tribulations of we photographers! I'll often have asses walk right in front of me at car shows when it's obvious that I'm trying to setup a shot ;))
Tough light Mike, but you sure made the best of it!
