Thanks again for the information, I didn’t know there were so many choices, I am still looking so keep up the good work.

Prints are flat...
Yes, I suppose it depends on the condition of the observer whether or not it makes a difference. An optician would probably know better. For me, on my previous smaller monitor, I saw (or thought) the edges were not as sharp as the at the center, so guessed that if the edges and the center were equidistant from my eyes it would help. For me it was a very noticeable improvement.

Quite possible as the focal plane and depth of field planes rotate as one rotated their eyes.
If the DOF planes are deep, it is less noticeable as when the DOF planes are shallow. Having a curved screen compensates some for that rotation of the planes. But for the most part, we will rotate our eyes from center to right or left because of the "side" image portion we see is not as clear as when we look directly at something. Clarity falls off in our peripheral vision. The distance to the center of a screen may be inches closer than the distance to the edges of the screen, so with a curved screen our eyes don't have to refocus as much from the center to the sides of the screen. Probably more evident with a large wide screen.
MDavid, are you looking for a desktop, with separate monitor, Or a laptop, with all combined?
I’m looking for a laptop.
There have been many discussions and opinions on computer configurations, maybe search the past threads.

My computer can go 500 miles an hour, but I can only type 4 miles an hour.
So paying extra for one that can go 1,000 miles an hour would be pointless for me.
If one computer performs a process in 20 seconds and another in 1 second, that doesn't matter to me. It still gets done. Besides, by the time I get replacement computers, the new one seem twice as fast (plus) as the old one.
It depends on what floats one's boat doesn't it.

I get a kick out of online comparisons for speed. 2.3 seconds vs 4.1. It's like 0-60 times for cars. 5.9 seconds vs 5.1.

Well, to some 4.1 seconds may be unacceptable...
(But the 2.3 is
twice as fast......
)

I would like to have recommendations for a new computer, windows type, I have little computer knowledge new to picture processing, I want the largest screen and best screenshot.
A whole lot depends on your budget. And purpose.
I'm a cheap bastard, and work with other frugal folk.
I have been repurposing old tower Mac Pros. CPU, Ram and SSD upgrades make Windows ZOOM!
Recently some Corps are upgrading their office PCs to AIOs, and dumping their oldies,
I scored a couple Lenovo SFF desktops- no RAM, no HDDs, for less than $50 delivered. i7 3,2ghz!
Newegg had some 1tb SSDs for $55, and eBay sent me 8x 8gb RAM sticks for $110.
Internal graphics are TERRIBLE, and a used K4000 is @ $30-40.
Some relatives, young parents who can't afford a $2500 system can buy thus for 10%!
It might not play FarCry at 180fps, but you can buy a better monitor.
And render pretty fast!

Take a look at having one built by Puget Systems. They will recommend a build exactly to fit your usage. The CS is awesome. I have purchased two of them. First about four years ago and another earlier this year. I would not buy any other system. Just take a look at:
www.pugetsystems.com
I am also shopping for a laptop and found that Dell has a great discount on the latitude now. I priced one with the 11th generation i7, 1 TB hd, 16 gig ram almost 900 off. With other options it came to $1,450 with extended warranty. Worth looking at.
I tend to buy HP computers and printers through HP itself or Staples. That is the advertisement part.
Now for the info and suggestions. I have bad eyesight, and though I can see to type, if I have a large enough font size on the monitor, I am legally blind. For the past several months I have been frustrated with a new 17" HP laptop. It is a good machine with an 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7. It came with 16 GB RAM and two storage drives (356 GB and 1 TB). All of this for less than $800. USD in October 2021.
The problem was that I could not get close enough to the screen to be able to see it with anywhere near normally large fonts. When I enhanced the size in Windows so i could see read email and webpages, often the buttons controlling action were off the screen and could not easily be gotten back on the screen.
Now comes the suggestion. If you have the need for a large screen on a laptop. Buy a larger monitor to carry around in its original box (along with a mouse and keyboard and the laptop, all in one box) to your hotel room or relatives' houses and use the laptop only as a computer processor and storage unit. I bought two 27" monitors on sale just a few weeks ago from HP. Now one is with my desktop and one with my laptop. That is about the largest you might want to get unless you want to run more than one app open on your screen at one time.
That's my story and suggestion. --Richard
I made the mistake of taking advice from the (EXPERTS) at best buy. Never again! Do your homework. The web is full of informatio.

I am (a infamously cheap bastard) using a 43" ONN TV for a monitor.
My last good PC monitor grew gray fuzzy horizontal lines. So:
I was in Wally World ANYway for more cable and these were "found" and on sale.
4x HDMI ports, speakers work from (surprise!) the Nvidia GPU. AND it's a TV!
Granted the max resolution is 1600x900, but I ain't gaming on it.
