I would like UHHers opinions and experiences with screen protectors, both pro and con. If you have specific experience with products for the Canon 7D even better. Thanks!
P.S. I'm normally a very polite person and respond with thanks. I am taking a trip and will read your posts after returning. So thanks in advance!
I have one on my T3i. No cons that I can think of :)
Have a safe trip.
I purchased a packet of clear plastic sheet covers that are pre-cut to the size of my LCD screen. Static charge nicely holds the plastic to my LCD, and I can easily swap for a new one when needed.

Do you remember where you sourced them? Thank you Nikonian72.

just a little smoothing out of the image but the pros way out weigh the cons. I put my own on and change them up when they start to get scratched. But far better the scratches on the protectors than the screen.
I too, use the glass ones. There have been too many times my LCD has been saved because of the protector being in place.
I have them on both my cameras, I really can't think of a con. I don't even notice that I have them on.
Mine just came for my D7000. Easy to install. I hope they don't scratch and if they do it is easy to remove the goo.
It is much clearer than the plastic one that Nikon supplies with the D7000. Of course they say that it is only for storage anyway. Also the GGS provides one in the kit for top LCD. Nikon not.
pro good protection, cheap
con none
Another vote for the GGS protectors from me :-)
You can purchase them cheap on eBay. When placing them on your LCD make sure, double sure, that there's no lint on the LCD. The slightest piece will cause an imperfection.

I have screen protectors on just about all my LCDs. Some are cheap and worthless - or worse. I finally settled on Zagg. they make them in all sizes, but I buy on for the iPad. It's a lot cheaper that way. I'd rather have a think piece of transparent material on the screen than several scratches.
The Zagg doesn't use an adhesive, so it can be removed and reused. You spray your fingers and the plastic with a soapy liquid they give you. After you apply it and smooth it over with the applicator, there might be a bubble or two, but they will disappear overnight.
