I purchased a packet of clear plastic sheet covers that are pre-cut to the size of my LCD screen. Static charge nicely holds the plastic to my LCD, and I can easily swap for a new one when needed.

I'd like to get an LCD protector that can be used with a touch screen-any recommendations?

I have the glass screens on my D90 and d7000, and several of my Point and Shoots. They are very cheap, very easy to apply, and easy to replace. Amazon.

I have one on each Canon that I have had and like them. Be sure to clean before putting on. I also look for the ones that say you can take off. Never have, but alway thought it was a good idea. Bee

If you look at ads for used DSLRs, they will often mention that the LCD is scratch-free.

I have the GGS on Nikon D90. VERY satisfied. Glass is clearer than the plastic supplied w/camera - snaps on same way. no problem w/scratching.
Of course it doesn't eliminate nose smudges.

Hummmm, great question. I have a super zoom Panasonic DMC ZS20 which has a number of touch screen functions. (no, does not have phone, but does have GPS, I have voice control turned off, she does not say turn right in 100 feet).

Will a plastic overlay protector mess up my touch screen control?

I doubt that the glass ones would work. Many use the soft ones on their touch screen phones.

I bought two GGS, for my Pentax K-5 and for my Sony RX100,
at eBay. I am very satisfied.

I got one from Crutchfield and another from Hunt's Photo and Video. There's been a lot going on here lately, so I haven't used them as much as I'd like. I have some Zagg plastic sheets for an iPad that I'll eventually cut and put on their LCDs. In the meantime, I keep the plastic covers on them.

Last night, we adopted two pugs, ages 8 and 9, so now we have four. Getting them all to live together peacefully is proving to be a challenge. I found out that their owner was murdered, and her body was discovered on Thanksgiving.
