Yeah but you can not legimately compare value in dollars in 2011 versus dollars in 2022.

When exactly did I do that; or are you just trying to make one of your usual strawman arguments.

I am just pointing out that 2011 dollars are worth more in buying power than todays dollars

And

I never said you complained about inflation . Read my comment it specifically said “ as many do.”

High gas prices in California result from a double whammy. Both state policies as well as Federal incompetence due to the current administration. The green community love it and say go electric. But recent high electrical consumption due to “normal” summer heat waves and resulting suggestions not charge your electric vehicle demonstrates a significant problem. In part, insufficient and outdated power distribution. So, more generation and “wires”, which the environmental groups will oppose. Another demonstration that California is all screwed up and people recognize it. Those left with any sanity are leaving.

And there you go being selfish again, gas prices are rising and many places in the US including where I'm at in Arizona and California and Washington and other places it's not all about you. So why aren't you talking about gas prices on average are rising now?

You are probably looking at national averages. . It may be that is going up because of environmental moves in California and not duecto any supply demand changes

Why not back that "fact" up with some specific examples? Others have. A few examples of the location, when low, now high. You're probably right but vague "that's a fact" without substance is precisely that - lacking substance.

Here in the Raleigh Durham, NC area, I paid $3.19 the other day which is down from $4.79 six weeks ago. And THAT is a fact.

I paid $3.18 a gallon at a Murphy’s station two weeks ago. Last night it was $3.89 a gallon for regular unleaded.
