About one year ago I received a package delivered to the correct number, but the wrong street. I think the delivery system was FedEx, but it could have been U.P.S. Either way, I did not look at the address, thinking this was a package for my wife, but later that day, she said she did not order anything. When I looked at the address, I realized the package was not for either of us, but for a person at the same number, but on the next street. I simply drove it over to him and solved the dilemma. So, when you say you checked with your neighbors, you may wish to ask the person with the same address on the next street about it as well.

Just a thought. Try to have a good day.

Sounds like a good idea, but why am I the one that has to do all the work? I've already spent over 2 hours on phone calls, filing reports, etc. Why doesn't Fed-ex send someone out to check houses with "close" numbers?

I once had a package delivered to the wrong address. When I showed the information on who signed for the package, the UPS Store was able to state that person does not work there. That would have been my recourse to the shipper (in your case FedEx). My experience with B&H is that they always require a signature at delivery.

B&H has to rely on the shipper's proof. Years ago I had a problem like that and did a short battle with the shipper, was reimbursed, re-purchased from B&H and made certain that I had to sign for delivery.

You might want to file a complaint with the closest Better Business Bureau. In my experience most companies usually respond relatively quickly to BBB complaints.

There is a definite problem with FedEx. They have two primary delivery methods, FedEx Express and FedEx ground. FedEx ground drivers are company drivers while Express drivers are owner-operators - often a big difference in attitudes between them. I drove a tractor-trailer for FedEx for a year but I have had problems with FedEx Express myself but filing a complaint is useless because their supervisors don't have the courtesy to return your calls. And going to the shipper is also useless. I had problems with a wine shipments as well as a delivery of medicine. Good luck.

When I left this morning, there was a lunch order at the building front door from Door Dash. When I got back 4 hours later, it was still sitting there in the sun. Wrong name for anyone in the building. I threw it away. Are there any other responsible residents at your address?

FedEx is the problem! I have had two packages delivered to my home that were supposed to be signed for. It was
delivered, but I never signed for the delivery. A check of the signature showed the signature of someone I don’t know, and I know my neighbors. It was suggested it could have been the driver keeping Covid separation, but if it was, he never bothered to ring the doorbell. A complaint to FedEx got nowhere.

I just had two bathroom medicine cabinets delivered to me by FedEx. I stood outside of the truck, and my heart sank when I heard boxes being dropped with a loud thud on the inside. Sure enough, the mirrors on both were broken. The vendor said that they have never had so many problems with broken merchandise delivered by FedEx. FedEx is hiring basically anyone with a drivers license who is willing to work.

One of the reasons I quit driving for FedEx is that I got tired of having to explain to the customer why their freight was damaged. I saw quite often that freight was actually damaged by the employees on the dock loading freight into my trailer. They didn't care. All that mattered to them was getting it off the docks. FedEx is not near what they used to be. At least in my case after I left, I was told both the supervisor and terminal manager were fired!.

When FedEx deliver to my abode I usually get a photo of the package at my front door. The driver does a scan of the label barcode and buttons in "delivered". That doesn't guarantee that it is there when you get home. File a claim, FedEx, B&H and credit card.

They are in the same boat as everyone else - a severe shortage of competent people who want to work.

You might also want to file a claim with FedEx for the declared value of the shipment. You have 9 months from the date the package was tendered to the carrier.

I used to buy a lot of equipment from B&H but have switched to Adorama because of Fedup. From Fedup saying the package was delivered to late deliveries. Here it is about a 50 50 chance of getting a Fedup package from them. Just currently I have a package in limbo, that was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday and now today. Aparently the tracking quit after Memphis.

Please keep us updated on the results. How a company handles problems goes to the core of their reputation, good or bad. Waiting 45 minutes on the phone for PayBoo booooo.

Happy shooting

My address is 2895, guy down the street is 2985. Post Office, Fed-X, UPS all get us mixed up. My neighbor and I have gotten to be pretty good friends, walking back and forth to each other's house with a misdelivery.

Exactly. I had the same situation with 223 vs 233 with a neighbor two houses away. I have since move to a city and street with a centralized locjed mail area for our entire block. Mail still gets misdelived in many ways.
