Thank you all for the kindness and critiques on my last posts! I love reading how everyone interprets my photography.
I hope more of you give self-portraiture a try! It’s challenging and creative and I recommend it to anyone with a camera. Maybe you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the results!
Which of these two images do you prefer? 😊
#1 for me sablynnn. Like your interaction with the kitty.

The first has better composition/balance.
I like the reflection of the model as opposed to the cat.
#1 is my choice. Nicely done.
well done, lovely images, I love using mirrors, as you know from my post.

#1 for me. Being a cat lover (wife and I have two) it struck a nice note. And you have beautiful hair. - JimT
Like the way your robe clings to your bacl in image 1. Cat goes without saying

#1 has a more natural look. #2 feels like the pose is forced. So, yes, #1 would be the one for me. Great shooting!

Both have reasons to be chosen. Photo 1 the angle of the light is better, the pose is relaxed and natural and there's the cat. Photo 2 we get to see the lovely photographer in the reflection, or perhaps the lovely muse. And it appears your chin is resting on your hand, a well planned pose or perhaps a nice happenstance. Both are quite good, both are quite lovely, both clearly say continue what you are doing.
I much prefer the second. In the first, my eye goes to the cat, not the point of the photo. In the second, my eye goes to the subject. I can see why cat lovers gravitate to the first, but the cat is not the point of the photo. Rather, it is a distraction.
#1...I like the composition better
#1 a natural interaction between pet and owner.
