It was a bit disappointing that this is the only bear we saw on the trip. They also did not cooperate and let me get a photo of all of them close with mom. At the end she just did what animals seem to do to me, stuck her tongue out at me then they walked away into the trees.
I’ve spent hours on multiple trips in Cades Cove and will do so again, but I have yet to encounter my first bear. Envious!

Smart Bears, staying away from humans.

wow...mama bear is huge! lucky you to see and shoot them.
