Bears of the Smoky Mountains

This was a very chubby mom and her 3 cubs. The were sort of far away and always seemed to be behind a bush or a Walnut tree. They were eating something below the tree, perhaps walnuts...

It was a bit disappointing that this is the only bear we saw on the trip. They also did not cooperate and let me get a photo of all of them close with mom. At the end she just did what animals seem to do to me, stuck her tongue out at me then they walked away into the trees.

Good set Beth. Did you try Cade's Cove? Usually a good spot for bear photos.

These were in Cades Cove. We looked several times and these were the only ones.
