Paul- This worked! The file is now on my desktop as a .bin. Thanks very much.
So please let us know if the updated firmware fixes your bluetooth problem. I am curious.
Babysitting the grandkids tonight for our daughter’s 50th. I’ll let you know as soon as I get to it.
One additional bit of advice: Make sure that the camera battery is fully charged and use a SD card that was formatted in-camera.

First let me thank you all for the advice. I was able to update the firmware and I reinstalled the snapbridge app. My iPad paired with the D7500 initially via bluetooth and it's listed in the bluetooth devices in the settings menu of the iPad but it still won't connect! The Snapbridge app is frozen on the connection page.
Very frustrating to say the least.
I'll bet that somewhere on your hard drive you now have .bin, .bin-1, .bin-2 etc.
We've seen this before where the file was opening but not in a place you would expect to find it.
But, all's well that ends well!
