For some reason the Bluetooth connection to my mobile devices from my Nikon D7500 stopped working. The camera is not recognized from either Snapbridge or the general Bluetooth settings on the iPad and iPhone.
I contacted Nikon support and they said I would have to upgrade the firmware. I downloaded the firmware upgrade files via the link they sent and I could not open the .exe files in order to extract the .bin file I need to transfer to the SD card. I get this message:
Extracting D7500Update\D7500_0110.bin
Cannot create D7500Update\D7500_0110.bin
I've tried this multiple times on 2 separate Windows 10 PCs as well as my iPad pro. Nikon will not send me the extracted file! Does anyone have another suggestion?
Go to the Nikon website and download the firmware update yourself. You don't need them to send you a link. By going to the Nikon site you can be sure your are being what the rest of the world gets . No telling what the Nikon folks are sending you.

Try downloading the .bin file from the website again. Sounds like something might have happened during your first download.

This method has never failed me. As a precaution use a formatted SD card.

It has never failed me either and I have 4 Nikon DSLRs. Carefully read and faithfully follow the instructions on how to install the firmware.

On YouTube, search “How to Update Nikon Firmware” if you can’t access the link below
Steve Perry does an excellent job on his video about updating firmware

I apologize. I meant to suggest redownloading the .exe file. Long day at school today...

I also have the D7500. I just downloaded the .exe from the Nikon website and created the corresponding .bin file. I'd be glad to email it to you. Just PM me with an email address. It's just under 25meg. so Gmail should allow.

I did this several times and got the same result.

Thanks Larry. I've tried several times. I cannot get to the .bin file without opening the .exe file which won't open. I do delete previous downloads before downloading a new one.

Thanks Bill. I tried that and it failed to open.

Thanks Fred. The problem is that I can't get to the .bin file to put on the SD card since it is in the downloaded .exe file which won't open.

https://youtu.be/KEWQ4GCbWuIThanks Stephen. A great video as are all of Steve's. If I could only get to the .bin file, I'd be OK.

Thanks so much KMielen. I just did PM you and I'm so grateful that you'll do what Nikon Support refused to do!
After downloading, the file “F-D7500-V110W.exe” should be in your “Download” directory. Double-click on the exe file will extract the .bin file which may or may not be in the same directory. It could be in “Nikon Update” folder somewhere. You can always search the file “D7500_0110.bin”
