I have and use Elements 2020 on one computer and am considering getting Elements 2022 for another computer, but I have read that there are download problems and that the platform is unstable. Any Elements user who has experience with Elements 2022, can you let me know if you encountered problems and if so what did you need to do to resolve them?

There's always a chance that software can get garbled or anything when you download it. If it does you can always redownload it it will always be in your account. So go for it don't worry about it.
I don't know anything about Elements 2022, but I have had Elements 2021 for over a year with no problems. If you can use Expert Mode, it's unlikely that E22 will do anything more than E21. If you are still using the Quick or Guided Modes, you'll probably see a few enhancements in E22. OBTW, there's nothing that you can do in Quick and Guided that you can't do better in Expert.

Why buy more software, unless you need a different OS (Mac vs Windows)? Just install PSE-2020 on that second computer. Adobe publishes the PSE software is available for two computer concurrent installations.

Why not use the same E22 on your second computer? I thought Elements allowed you to license it on 2-3 different machines. I've got E15 running on 2 windows computers.

You can read anything on the internet somewhere. Somebody, somewhere probably had a bad internet day that created a problem.
You can install it on a lot of computers. The license you agree to says that only two will be "active" and they will be yours. In the Help menu is a choice to "log out" which makes it inactive.
If you buy directly from Adobe via download, there is a 30 day money back satisfaction guarantee for any reason.

It's NEVER "one" thing.
IF you have a ferked download, it won't work correctly.
Most times that's not the software- glitches on the network is likely.
IF you have a previous installation you can have problems. "Can"
You'll have shortcuts, 3rd party apps and references to different names and locations.
I have not yet seen any reasonable major reasons for the upgrade. After I did it.
I really really like Elements. LR doesn't do all I want and PS does more of what I don't.
I have had no problems.
Stay with PSE 2020; I've heard too many bad stories about 2022. I'm still satisfied with 2020.

I second that motion about upgrades with one caveat. They add RAW compatibility for the newer camera models.
2022 is an excellent update to Photoshop Elements. I found the bundle on Amazon that includes both Photoshop Element and Premier Elements - both are 2022 updates. And the price for both programs was $99 with no shipping charge and I'm not an Amazon Prime member. Because I've had past problems when loading these Adobe programs, I was a little nervous when my bundle arrived. Without taking off what was left of version 15 on my computer, I tried loading both Photoshop and Premiere Elements. Went beautifully! Clean install on both. And both have enough of my usual way of doing things - and I use these programs a lot, including video editing - but there are a number of new features that I haven't explored yet. I then uninstalled my version 15. Congrats to Adobe for doing good work on this update...and, to me, Amazon's price was the deal maker for me. Besides loading on my desktop PC, I also loaded both on my Microsoft Surface Pro 7...and I found both work on my Surface too. Users are allowed to put both programs on two computers.

No problems at all.
If using a Mac, 2022 version will only run on a 64 bit Mac

I installed and have been running Photoshop Elements 2022 for a little over a month now and haven't had any problems with it at all.

I have Elements 2020 and purchased 2022. I had a lot of problems with it but after several (5) calls for technical
help they seemed to have solved the problem, Help was very accommodating . I think the problems were pretty wide spread but assume they have solved the issue for new buyers.
