Yeh. While the world is experiencing a food shortage and inflated food prices, Biden wants to take corn from the mouths of starving people and burn it because his Progressive Climate Change party won't sanction our world-class oil producers to pump oil.

The reason you haven't had 15% until now is because internal combustion engine technology needed time to manufacture equipment that could handle the effects of ethanol. It's not that we don't know how to produce seals, fuel lines, and gaskets that are compatible with ethanol, we can and do. Ethanol is a very good cleaning agent, and has effects on cylinder walls and other components like fuel pumps. Ethanol dissolves, in time, a lot of compounds. did you know transport tankers hauling ethanol for use in motors is mixed with a small amount of gasoline so it can't be used to drink as booze.

I didn't know that it was denatured before going to the refinery. I do know that there is considerable less energy in a gallon of alcohol than there is in a gallon of gasoline.

Every time you make 1 gallon of ethanol, there is a net energy loss of 54,000 BTU." Ethanol from corn costs about $1.74 per gallon to produce, compared with about 95 cents to produce a gallon of gasoline.

Surely Biden would have investigated the cost of production before he made his "ethanol is the answer" speech in Iowa. Am I missing something here or did Biden stand in front of the whole world yesterday and promise that raising the cost of fuel will lower inflation?
Maybe that little birdie was the only one with the courage to tell it like it is!

I doubt Biden even knows how to investigate anything. His biggest challenge is to decide which side, the left or right direction, he should leave the podium.

If he can't investigate an idea what about the people around him? After all, they are the ones that get the big bucks for wriing his speeches and creating his "ideas".

They had to know that millions and millions of people would know within a matter of minutes that ethanol pollutes far more than gasoline, is more costly, and causes increased food prices along with food shortages. How far did they think they would get on this falsehood?

So you're safe. You have neither.

If is only now that 15% is safe in newer cars whar should older car owners use for fuel?

I have a 1964 t-bird convertible and use premium straight (without ethanol) gas. If I rebuild the motor seals, change the fuel lines, get a new fuel pump, and again rebuild the carburetor, I might start using 10% ethanol.

Trying to buy votes heedless of potential negative environmental impacts. He sees loss in power a-coming from the November elections. He will take steps to mitigate this loss. For example, he's holding off the forgivingness of student loan debt (now $1.7 trillion) until the right moment to garner votes.

In an attempt to lower high gas prices, the Biden administration wants to turn to a fuel that’s potentially even dirtier than regular gasoline, the White House announced today. The Environmental Protection Agency plans to issue an emergency waiver that will allow the year-round sale of a fuel called E15, which is banned in most of the US during summer months when smog is a bigger risk.

I have a friend who is very good friends with a senator. She said he said if you are not corrupt when you get elected you will be by the time you leave office. That's most likely the closest to the truth we will ever get. Both parties are corrupt. They are the Bread and Circuses for the true powers.

Can you burn unleaded, I once wasted the valve seals on my 1974 El Camino in the early 80s, I grabbed the wrong pump, those were the days when you had a regular and unleaded available at the pump.

I didn't ruin mine. I pulled my heads and had hardened valve seats put in when I was hit rodding it up a bit. My Machinist had a couple examples of ruined heads because of no lead and soft seats.

A seat that fails and breaks can destroy an engine. There is a mechanic on You Tube that tears down engines to trace failure cause, last evening featured a ten cylinder Viper Engine and the failure was caused by a broken vale seat.
