Biden is getting dirty

In an attempt to lower high gas prices, the Biden administration wants to turn to a fuel that’s potentially even dirtier than regular gasoline, the White House announced today. The Environmental Protection Agency plans to issue an emergency waiver that will allow the year-round sale of a fuel called E15, which is banned in most of the US during summer months when smog is a bigger risk.

I guess all we can do is say, "Thanks Joe. You did that!!" I wonder if the administration will accept claims of engine and component damage that will most assuredly be forthcoming from consumers.

The AAA says the Environmental Protection Agency and gasoline retailers should halt the sale of E15, a new ethanol blend that could damage millions of vehicles and void car warranties.

YES, Thanks Joe.

Gee, whatever you do, don’t do any research on your own. LOL, Chicken-Little!

Come up with some valid sources!

It’s not for everybody, but it has its place for a little help.

It has the potential to take out thousands of cars and trucks that were built with the right seals. The company I worked for lost most of our delivery hoses and site glasses on our fuel tankers when we first started hauling ethanol to refineries for mixing into gasoline.

I understand nothing about the technical effects of ethanol but it sures takes a bite out of food production. Every acre of land used to produce corn for gas is one less acre to produce food for the table.

Very few "all statements" are true. I don't believe this one to be an exception.

What happens to materials in contact with ethanol, and what happens to materials exposed to 85% gasoline and 15% ethanol may be quite different. We have been using 90% gasoline 10% ethanol for many years now.

The reason you haven't had 15% until now is because internal combustion engine technology needed time to manufacture equipment that could handle the effects of ethanol. It's not that we don't know how to produce seals, fuel lines, and gaskets that are compatible with ethanol, we can and do. Ethanol is a very good cleaning agent, and has effects on cylinder walls and other components like fuel pumps. Ethanol dissolves, in time, a lot of compounds. did you know transport tankers hauling ethanol for use in motors is mixed with a small amount of gasoline so it can't be used to drink as booze.

The reason you haven't had 15% until now is becaus... (show quote)

If is only now that 15% is safe in newer cars whar should older car owners use for fuel?

Yeh. While the world is experiencing a food shortage and inflated food prices, Biden wants to take corn from the mouths of starving people and burn it because his Progressive Climate Change party won't sanction our world-class oil producers to pump oil.
