Both are good. The 2nd one is the best, but what are the tiny little specks of black and white. They don't seem to be part of your ladybug. Must be pieces of sand over other grit. They seem to be spaced symmetrically.

Thank you very much for looking and taking the time to comment. The white specks are of course sand but I cannot explain the dark spots that are right next to each other on its back. They are in the first photo of course but then again you can see them side by side in the second photo but sticking up from the back. I am assuming they are just some dirt/grit but they sure are spaced perfectly. I tried to pick it up to take a look but the wind caught the ladybug and carried it off.

I'm not competing.... but here is my lady bug. (An iPhone snapshot after seeing your's.) A friend makes sculptures from automobile parts. I recently bought this lady bug from him and she's on my deck.

I thought you'd get a laugh.

Just as I was building myself up into an infuriated frenzied maniacal rage I read the part where your lady bug is not real.

I love your lady but and am glad you posted it. I am wondering at its size. Is it about 4 inches across perhaps?

Thanks for the photo and comment.

Yeah...just about 4 inches plus the head. If I can locate some candid phone pics of his work, I'll get some up.

Thanks Jeff. I think so too. I find using a fill flash even though it is the camera fill flash seems to work well most of the time.

While at the beach the other day I spotted this ladybug on a rock. What it was doing there on an incredibly windy day is beyond me but there she was. I took these two photos of her, the second using fill flash which opened up the shadows of her face. I hope you like them.

Please feel free to make any comments.

Thank you merrytexan. She certainly could be but it was about 40+ degrees outside. She might have waited a bit for it to warm up. Thanks for taking a look.
