While at the beach the other day I spotted this ladybug on a rock. What it was doing there on an incredibly windy day is beyond me but there she was. I took these two photos of her, the second using fill flash which opened up the shadows of her face. I hope you like them.

Please feel free to make any comments.

Nice detail. The "fill-in" did nicely!

Both are good. The 2nd one is the best, but what are the tiny little specks of black and white. They don't seem to be part of your ladybug. Must be pieces of sand over other grit. They seem to be spaced symmetrically.

I'm not competing.... but here is my lady bug. (An iPhone snapshot after seeing your's.) A friend makes sculptures from automobile parts. I recently bought this lady bug from him and she's on my deck.

I thought you'd get a laugh.

Thank you Cindy for taking a look and commenting. I don't know of anyone who might not like ladybugs. They sort of just sit there and look nice.

Thank you Paul for taking the time to look and make a fine comment. The fill flash really did do well in this case. I can still see a bit of the sun glare on the right side but it was worse in the first shot.
