They only ran for 2 seasons, but Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister are painfully funny. They're on DVD, so may be available from your library if you can't find 'em streaming somewhere.

Yes, there are more arguments on TV than in real life. In 47 years of marriage, my wife and I never had a TV-style argument. I just sat there quietly while she told me what was wrong with me.
You were lucky to have her list all the ways! I hope you have a spread sheet of the list.

Try the Britcoms.
Fawlty Towers one of the best ever.
Last of the Summer Wine is my favorite. We watched it as it was dribbled out by PBS. Then I happened onto a complete set of CDs on eBay for a ridiculously low price. Never mind that I had to invest in a region free video player. We're now about halfway through the 30 seasons. It's the longest running britcom, hands down. We'd never seen some of the early episodes and it's been great fun seeing the others again.
Now that we've got the all region player, I'm on the lookout on some other series that have never been made for the USA.

Yes! John Cleese was married to "Polly," an American actress, at one time.

That sounds like a good one. You were smart to get that region-free player. That opens up a whole new world.

I remember getting into the "engineer" settings on my Samsung DVD player and changing it from UK (or was that Europe?) to region-free. I think it's mostly just a setting to make money or comply with regulations.
Good move anyway
