Well done images. I've never been to Bodie. I'm told it's a wonderful place to photography. Your images certainly prove that.

Good to see you stopped by and enjoyed this series, AzPicLady. And, Bodie is a terrific place to visit, especially with a camera. I could spend an entire day there as everywhere you turn is a new opportunity...even laying on the ground! If it were a person's first time here, a full day may not be enough. However, the war department grabs me by the collar when she starts tiring of my Tom-foolery...and I understand this, she is very generous with her patience!!

Excellent set Jim - well captured! Wish we had some of these old ghost towns in the Garden State.

I know your pain, Bill, these old remote sites are a man's best playground and wish you did have a few your way!! Thanks for stopping by and many thanks for your comments!!

Really great photos! I visited Bodie with my parents in 1950. Time and weather have slowly reduced some of the buildings beyond recognition. There had been an old car, maybe a Model T with a tree growing up through it then. Did you happen to see it?

Wow! Brings back great memories of living and flying in Ariz/Nev. Dagum - these are so good, makes me miss that beautiful sky.

Thank you exakta...appreciate you stopping by and commenting.

I vaguely remember that old auto with the tree growing through the car. We first went to Bodie something late 1980's on a very cold spring day and that would be when I saw the car...no photos though.

Good to see you came by for a tour, roder!! If Bodie was closer to civilization it would be a tourist madhouse. So am thankful for its remoteness where crowds don't interfere with your photography efforts...this makes for a enjoyable outing!!

Excellent series of shots. Looking at them, I wonder what life was like then before it became deserted
