Honesty, I don't have much interest in the new 'puter'. But, I have to say it. So many CONGRATULATIONS, for beating that awful fecking illness after what must have been 16 terrifying years! I'm truly happy for for you, and thank you for letting us share your happy news. Enjoy the rest of your life now, (and don't spend all your money too soon), it's going to have to last a long time now!
"Terrifying" is the wrong word. Angry, sad, depressed, and at times during chemo treatments I wished to die to escape the sickness. But there is an up side:
I was a widower looking for a woman to fill the void in my life. A HS class mate of mine came to my rescue when I told her that I had cancer. She was also a recent widow. She drove across three states, moved into my house and took loving care of me. There were some rough times! We are married now and both agree that this is the best time of our life.
There is no danger of me going broke. I have been stupid lucky on many levels!
