I'm using it to post this message. First impressions are positive. Soon I will be moving all my images that are currently stored on an external HD to the 8TB SSM on the mother board of the computer.

In other news:
I learned last week that the blood cancer I have been fighting for 16 years has been CURED! The doctor told me that I no longer have cancer and to stop taking the new experimental pills I have taking for the past two years. The pills worked. I don't have cancer. They told me 16 years ago that my cancer was incurable. That changed!

I'm happy and spending like drunken sailor. 6K$ for the computer, what the hay!

The tricky part is going to be moving all my images stored on an external HD over onto the internal 8TB of SSD and continue to use it in LR. I think Apple support will help me with that.

Dave, many congratulations for beating your cancer. That's an awesome, amazing accomplishment. May I ask the name of the medication, please.

So glad for you. Reminds me of the same news my brother got years ago. You’re cured. Go home. Enjoy life.
The doctor did not follow up for two years and then found the cancer again. Two years after that he died.
It sounds like I am an alarmist but most doctors will tell you that there is no cure for cancer, just control.
It lies there ……waiting.
PLEASE…have your doctor do regular checks…..for the rest of your life. I hope it never comes back. Good luck.

"Terrifying" is the wrong word. Angry, sad, depressed, and at times during chemo treatments I wished to die to escape the sickness. But there is an up side:
I was a widower looking for a woman to fill the void in my life. A HS class mate of mine came to my rescue when I told her that I had cancer. She was also a recent widow. She drove across three states, moved into my house and took loving care of me. There were some rough times! We are married now and both agree that this is the best time of our life.

There is no danger of me going broke. I have been stupid lucky on many levels!

But why are you moving your images from the external drive to the computer drive, you will have NO backup

Why not? I will still perform backups to external drive(s).

This is not my first Apple product, but it's the most expensive!
