Would this IrfanView work for a funeral home service? Could I Just hand them a flash drive with photos to be used as a slide show?

I would think that any funeral home would have something set up their way. All you would need to do is hand them a flash drive with the photos and let them copy them into their system. The might want to check the photos before presenting them to the public so you would need to get them the photos ahead of time.

All the funeral homes I have dealt with in the last 10 years have had an online system so you could upload the photos to them if you're not local.

However, I think you are asking how to get the images to the funeral home, not how to get a stand alone slideshow to the funeral home, yes? In that case you don't need Irfanview. The funeral home can tell you how their preferred way(s) to get images to them.
