I agree with you but lets not force poor people to have babies and then not help feed them! Makes no sense! I want a smaller more efficient Government and it is compared to GWB admin, less Gov workers. I don't want Gov in anyones bedroom![quote=Cragzop][quote=Reddog]I find it interesting that the RED States get more from the Government than the Blue states, Talk about shooting ones self in the foot LOL

Yeah, and funny how the 97% of Obama's constituency are harbored in the inner cities.

Red state, blue state, the problem is generations have grown dependent on government handouts and the money comes from working people. For how long this charade can continue is the real story.

Even that bastion of the left, Bill Clintoon, decided enough was enough and he changed the rules regarding welfare.

LAST NIGHT I CRIED (Written by Anna)

I cried last night for a Great Nation lost as we know it.

I cried last night for all the children who will never know but by story about what a great Nation this was as some parents, the grandparents and great grandparents knows it now.

I cried last night for each unborn baby that won't have chance to have dreams.

I cried last night for the dream that Martin Luther King had. That all men and women be treated equal.

I cried last night for those who are taking away our rights by tearing our Constitution apart piece by piece.

I cried last night as I thought of other things that could be tore down also, all because someone may not like it. Mount Rushmore, The Statue of Liberty just to name a couple.

I cried last night for our Military and their families for those who fought and paid the ultimate price with their life and for those who are fighting now for our freedom as we know it now because, those dreams are soon to tumble down as well.

I cried last night as I lay and thought of things, like being able to at one time pray in school and say the pledge. All those days are gone because someone decided they didn't believe in God and wanted them to be removed from our schools.

I cried last night when I thought there would only be a little thought here and there to tell a story to children who may not believe them. Or would tell the person "oh your old" and laugh the story off.

I cried last night for each and every elected official who let their country and it's people down.

I cried last night for the thought of maybe one day in the not so distant future that I may not be able to attend a church due to people who don't want it to happen.

I cried last night for each and every blood drop by someone who loved this country.

I cried last night for each Police Officer as they are going to be the ones who have to do what they are told about keeping the laws under control.

I cried last night for each and every news reporter who kept the true things off the air so people would not know what was really happening and laugh about it.

I cried last night as I could see my dreams for my great grand babies going up in smoke because people hate the US so bad they want to take it away from us.

A closer look:

Take a look at the breakdown of voters, you'll see who voted him in- and it wasn't because of substance or certainly not because of performance. All he had to do was show up and he got these votes... is that any way to pick a leader?

The problem with politics in the US is the Team mentality. Akin to going to a football game, who do people root for? They are not there to see and root for the best team, they don't care if the other guys are better, they want their team to win at all costs. If a ref makes a bad call their way..so be it. IF one of our guys gets away with an illegal block that results in the winning touch down- tough crap for the other guys.

This is who voted for each candidate.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20240375

Now take a look at not only the blue vs. red states, but the color of the counties of the US. You'll see way more "red" across the country.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/special/politics/election-map-2012/president/

The major population centers are all blue and always have and will be, but they are full predominately what social economic, educational level of what??? This is what won the election for him, it was along racial lines without any thought to performance or substance. (See exit polls- Romney wins every single non-entitlement important issue). I'd be embarrassed. But you can't embarrass a democrat and you can't use intelligence nor facts..

This was no landslide- nor any mandate. This is a divided nation that he has created. He has done what no other power on earth could militarily. And I am confident he will prove himself to be everything he ever had to offer- an empty suit that can talk like a preacher to the right audience... he will deserve every filibuster and block he gets thrown at him.

Now lets see all of you liberals reap what he has sown. I wish the rest of didn't have to participate in your socialist experiment. But it may be worth the cash and blood and sweat it will cost ALL OF US- including some of yours, to see what barry does with the mess HE'S MADE as I don't think he'll get much travel from blaming it on Bush anymore- except from his minions. Then we'll be able to sadly point out that we told you so.

Have fun raiding the evil rich folks!

This is the point where some good links showing examples of all this chatter about abortion would be very useful.

I could not believe this happened to me like it di... (show quote)

I wept last night as I understood that for the first time ever Millions of people just like me could get health insurance and not have to choose between medical care and bankruptcy.

I wept last night as I understood that millions of children who have only known this country as their home would not be deported or asked to self-deport themselves to a country they had never lived in.

I wept last night sharing tears with millions of gay and lesbian folk who were finally recognized by their country.

I wept last night thinking that the odds of us going to war with Iran and effectively destroying the global economy got slimmer.

I celebrated last night for all our children great and otherwise who might have a sliver of a chance to know and enjoy all the bounty and beauty in our world before our greed and green house gases destroy it.

I woke up to a beautiful new day and saw that it was good and I gave thanks.

Second point - my observation is that . for Democrates, compromise is "you do it our way"; we'll never do it your way

If you are afraid of this President then you need to stop watching Fox News and listening to Rush Limbaugh as their sole purpose is to frighten you. I think it was Tony Randall on David Letterman who once said that government is not necessary if the people have nothing to fear. For decades government told us the communists were coming and they never showed up. Now, they are telling us we need to be afraid of Maplethorpe. Without out something for us to fear their (government's) position is in question.

If you look at the political landscape honestly, you will find people on both sides who are capable of compromise. Unfortunately, there don't seem to be leaders on either side who understand it.

Your wording itself is telling. While it may not have been intentional on your part, the concept of "Perhaps now we can introduce compromise into their lexicon." conveys an image of the person who thinks himself the superior imposing his vocabulary on the one he thinks inferior.

If both sides seek to understand compromise together there is the possibility of success. If one side seeks to impose compromise on the other (as your sentence construction suggests), it will be an exercise in futility for both.

To anyone who can answer this question. If we the USA are borrowing .40 of every dollar spent, How will we the USA pay for all our "free stuff" and pay down any debt. Or are we not interested in paying down debt? I did not understand from the debates how Obama plans to accomplish that. Thanks all for a great forum.

Now lets increase the flow of revenue to the treasury and pay down the debt. That is if the debt is so important as the right wing seems to say. If it is not, they will block any attempts to make it smaller. You know like in the Clinton years!
