"YOU GUYS on the LEFT" reminds me of Mrs Romney's remark about "YOU PEOPLE" -- a statement that things would be OK if it wasn't for YOU PEOPLE !

Good observation. I think we'll see a lot in how Washington deals with the financial cliff over the next six weeks. If they find a way to reach a compromise that addresses both income and outgo, I will have hope that they might deal with the long term deficit and debt issues.

If they don't deal with this short term but very significant problem well, I doubt that the next two or four years will be very productive or beneficial either.

Sorry to see you go. We all lose.

The members often refer to this site as the "HOG". Sometimes they act out the first word "Ugly". This can be a great place, but it can be unbelievably cruel and bigoted.

Be well and please remember that there are some great people with great information. Many are kind, and generous with their advice. One may say that General Chit -Chat gives people the place to express their unfiltered opinions. There are the good, the bad and he very, very UGLY.

I don't think Mcconnell will compromise, he sounded like he is still putting party above Country! I feel sad for the people who really believe we are losing our Country. The Fox Bubble is very powerful. I see it as the American people Won and corporations lost. A lot of my family is also stuck in the Fox Bubble and no matter how many facts you show them they can't break out! Slogans like lets take our Country back ( FROM WHO) just scare the Sh-- out of folks and I can feel their pain. What rights have they Lost, I still own nine guns, I still go to church, I still vote!I guess in the Fox reality I lost all these rights and Romney won by a landslide. Every pollster had Obama winning except those from Fox! Should warn you how far from reality they are. GOD BLESS AMERICA and all its people both Dems and Reps.

Perhaps now we can introduce compromise into their lexicon.

It is long but I have to share it with someone so why not friends on line...here goes....It is not copy righted and most likely won't be. I would love to put it on face book but it is so long...

Dear Anna,
I agree with what you wrote. Please lift yourself up and try to think good thoughts; that maybe one day America will finally get smart and rebel against socialism and the creep that is in Washington ( I will not call him our "President" as there is nothing "Presidential" about him...nothing!)
Actually, let's rise above it and not give him the power he thinks he has. When others who have even half a brain realize what is happening to our country (going down the sewer), and realize their vote for the creep was WRONG, we can then start to bring back America as we knew it.......!We have to keep having faith and not give up. In four years the creep will be out of the White House, (yippie!)unless he's thrown out before then! (one can dream, right?)
LAST NIGHT I CRIED (Written by Anna)

I cried last night for a Great Nation lost as we know it.

I cried last night for all the children who will never know but by story about what a great Nation this was as some parents, the grandparents and great grandparents knows it now.

I cried last night for each unborn baby that won't have chance to have dreams.

I cried last night for the dream that Martin Luther King had. That all men and women be treated equal.

I cried last night for those who are taking away our rights by tearing our Constitution apart piece by piece.

I cried last night as I thought of other things that could be tore down also, all because someone may not like it. Mount Rushmore, The Statue of Liberty just to name a couple.

I cried last night for our Military and their families for those who fought and paid the ultimate price with their life and for those who are fighting now for our freedom as we know it now because, those dreams are soon to tumble down as well.

I cried last night as I lay and thought of things, like being able to at one time pray in school and say the pledge. All those days are gone because someone decided they didn't believe in God and wanted them to be removed from our schools.

I cried last night when I thought there would only be a little thought here and there to tell a story to children who may not believe them. Or would tell the person "oh your old" and laugh the story off.

I cried last night for each and every elected official who let their country and it's people down.

I cried last night for the thought of maybe one day in the not so distant future that I may not be able to attend a church due to people who don't want it to happen.

I cried last night for each and every blood drop by someone who loved this country.

I cried last night for each Police Officer as they are going to be the ones who have to do what they are told about keeping the laws under control.

I cried last night for each and every news reporter who kept the true things off the air so people would not know what was really happening and laugh about it.

I cried last night as I could see my dreams for my great grand babies going up in smoke because people hate the US so bad they want to take it away from us.

You miss the point Larry, Thats why this Country is so great! We are allowed to disagree. Other parts of the World wish they could go on line and insult their leaders or debate unpopular laws. I believe everyone here loves their Country both Dems and Reps. I hate what I think Fox News is doing to our Country but thats just my opinion. I know my brother feels just the opposite, yet we are both loyal to the USA.

Kit Lens, I really don't believe you are as uninformed as you like to sound. Possibly a year or two of 'higher education'... just enough to make one 'feel' wise. Living life is what makes one wise. Serving in the military helps too. Working to earn your living is also a great help. But most of all, (in my opinion), knowing the Word... Bible prophesy is the greatest teacher. What we see happening now is simply that Word coming to life. Check it out. What side will we choose... not democrat or republican... the Lord's side would be the wiser choice.
I have no doubt, when the freebies are offered, you will be in the forefront with your hand out, but don't feel bad about that... this generation has been 'conditioned' to accept that life as normal. That is what has degraded our nation to its present state. I realize, you enjoy 'stirring the coals' here to get action going. How I wish instead you cared as much for keeping our nation in proper order and handing down a better legacy to those younger than you who will inherit this mess. You are in my prayers.

I find it interesting that the RED States get more from the Government than the Blue states, Talk about shooting ones self in the foot LOL

And only your side knows what the proper order is or how to clean the mess. Was GWB on your side? just asking.

Yeah, and funny how the 97% of Obama's constituency are harbored in the inner cities.

Red state, blue state, the problem is generations have grown dependent on government handouts and the money comes from working people. For how long this charade can continue is the real story.

Even that bastion of the left, Bill Clintoon, decided enough was enough and he changed the rules regarding welfare.
