Sorry but I haven't seen the troll appear in this one. What I think I have seen is some miscommunication over what the OP posted.

You hit on my biggest gripe with cell phones, on our plant trips, all the cell phones users are cramed in front of the plants blocking any one else's view trying to get a closeup. Maybe the newer phones are different as I know some now have three cameras.

If you are a professional photographer, you need a good camera with good glass. If you are an amateur photographer, you can get by with a less capable camera or a good smart phone to get the shots. What counts in either case is the images captured rather than the gear used to take the photo. It has been said many times, the best camera is the one you have with you when you need it. Since most of us always carry our smart phones everywhere, that is the best camera in a lot of situations. My iPhone 12 pro Max rarely takes bad photos and videos. It has it's limitations but will do for 90% of what I shoot. It is not good for low light, wild life and sports. I rarely shoot in low light or sports but do have a lot of white tail deer around that I shoot when walking the dog. I wish I had a good camera with a telephoto lens with me when the deer appear but I have only my smart phone with limited telephoto lens.

I have taken some great pictures with my Galaxy S20 (my opinion) but there are times when there's no way I can get good shots with it. For example: we took up Doodle to the dog park for the first time and she loved it, chasing and being chased. I had my Canon R w/24-240mm lens and was able to get a few decent shots. The dogs were anywhere from 10ft to. 50ft away.

I have a Nikon D800, I was chasing pixels that day!
I also have two D90s, one converted to InfraRed.
Then comes the film cameras !! Several 35, a 120 and a 4X5 to attend to my darkroom follies! I really had not considered low ASA, say below 50 for even less grain on enlargements.
