Oh I believe theter I a God - A loving forgiving God_ but not the fiction and campfire stories of the Bible.
Yes - there are many documented items in the New Testament - and I am fine with Jesus being a real person but the" Stories" of peoples thoughts and are not acceptible.

Sounds like your God is tailor made to fit your idea of what a god should be. Wont be long and you can let God know where he went to far with his Bible stories.

How do you come up with that one? I said I believe all of the Bible. I did not write any of it, God did. You guys really should think before you speak,it will help you out down the road.

And if there is a god, you'd better hope he's the one you've been praying to. What will you do when you find out Allah is god and Mohammad was his prophet?

While it is obvious not all of mankind's thousands of religions can be right, it is quite possible they are all wrong.

You may be backing the wrong horse...

Woops - Again you are mistaken - GOD never wrote anything - man did. To error is human.

What took you so long? I have no problem with my choice and that is that. If I told you the thousands of reasons why I have made this choice you would simply dismiss my reasoning. You go your way and I'll go mine. Good luck with that.

I come up with that one on the basis that humans have been making gods up for the whole of human history. YOU may choose to believe in one particular made up god but that doesn't make it any more believable to me, any more than Ra, Jahweh, Thor, Zeus, Kali, Jove or any other made up god. As for your pitiful attempt to threaten me with the dire consequences your fairy tale god has in store for me, that just makes me giggle!

And you say you believe all of the bible? I presume you mean that you believe literally in the account of the creation of the universe as laid out in Genesis? In which case you believe two contradictory accounts (those contained in chapter 1, where she allegedly creates man in 1:26, and in chapter 2 when she does it again in 2:7). Presumably you also believe that anyone who works on the sabbath should be killed (Exodus 35:2)? Does that include doctors? Emergency workers? And that it's ok if you keep slaves, as long as they are "heathens" (Leviticus 25:44)? Or that it's fine to sell your daughter (Exodus 21:7)? Or any of that nonsense about collecting samples of every living species on a giant floating zoo? And all that mad, vile, vicious stuff in Revelations? Because if you do, really, actually believe all that is true, then you seriously have a warped idea of morality and what is good. Give me good, honest, work-out-what's-right-for-yourselves rationalist atheism any day!
