Yes it is!
TB and Tb also.
I usually only worry about Gig and Meg in general, not bytes or bits. KB/Kb seems to have gone by the wayside.
And I'd NEVER said "Ks" either.
Now, is a 2T drive in bits or bytes? (TB/Tb) To me it's simply a 2T drive.
(Just so I call it the proper way.)

Your topic title refers to Win 11. The text of your post refers to "Windows update". Which update caused you the problem?
I was upgrading the latest 10 to get ready for 11.

Down loaded the latest Windows update and my laptop went into a blue screen loop I couldn't get out of no matter how I tried and I am not an amateur at resolving issues. I had to take it to my old buddy who runs a pc repair shop. His immediate response was "you too eh." and he pointed to another laptop with the same problem. So just be aware of a possible problem and hang fire on any upgrades for now.
Well since Microsoft's own app to check the health of your computer and see if it can handle Win 11 won't open with message that Windows Defender blocked it and "unknown publisher" I have already decided to wait. From what I read it is extremely finicky about hardware specs etc.
1st model of something = often a lot of problems or tweaks needed
2nd model = better but often still some problems
3rd model and beyond "usually" OK.
Of course if you love a "challenge" or being a "guinea pig"... Then go for the "Beta" test release that is out now. Or wait several months for the "ready for prime time" release - it is still supposed to be free when that happens.
Good advice from experience.

When Win 10 came out and was a free upgrade from other versions of windows I waited a few months until most of the "oh my God" posts on the forums faded out then I got Win 10. I was still pretty early into Win 10 but didn't have the problems that appeared the first few months. I did have to spend a few hours installing updates and fixes the day I got the free Win 10 but that avoided all of the problems the Beta testers went through.

Especially to Spectrum salespeople who always in my experience refer to “megabytes per second” 🙀
I’m not a member of the grammar police, and my spell checker and fat fingers screw up as much as anyone, so you won’t catch me correcting grammar/spelling mistakes online, BUT I’ll call out MB (vs Mb) when they’re used interchangeably almost every time. That’s one place where spelling really DOES matter.
In a way, computers have forced us to work more precisely. They can be relentless in punishing inexact work (yes, there is a big difference between / and \). When you write a line of code, 99% isn’t good enough - it needs to be 100% if you want it to behave as intended.

Is that what Gibbons speak?

But Windows, MacOS and the other graphical user interfaces are positively forgiving about typos and misspellings compared to DOS and similar.
Windows 11 is only designed to operate on the latest computers.
Most of the disqualifications will come from the processor...only Intel I3,5,7,9 in the 8th generation onwards will be able to upgrade.
AMD will be Ryzen 3,5&7 2xxx generation onwards.
If you machine is older than 2 years...you probably won't be upgrading.

Also your computer has to have TPM enabled in order for windows 11 to work.
Like some previous posters said, if your computer is more than a few years old, windows 11 is not going to be compatible.
You can go to windows website to check compatibly of your computer 🖥️💻.

Ran the test on 3 laptops, 2 cannot get the Win 11 upgrade so I'm not even trying to do those. Anybody know about wi-fi adapters and Ubantu? both laptops need adapters as they have 2g built in not 5g, currently using 2 different brands of 5g adapters on them.
Is there any way to stop ALL Windows 10 upgrades? My Win 10 works good, if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Sure, just tell Windows you want to upgrade manually...then ignore.
