After you select the image and click "Add Attachment" are you waiting for the upload acknowledgement before clicking "Send"?
If you go someplace else before completed, the upload will stop.
The other problem could be the file is too large.

A typical issue impacting individual users is their files are larger than 20MB.

Sometimes the machine just needs a reboot. I would try that too.

Jack, the best advice has already been mentioned: reboot computer, check your file size.

And have you ever run what I think of as "housekeeping apps" on your computer to clean out all the gunk, fragments, left over temp files etc. etc. etc.?
If you don't do that regularly it will bog down a computer and even prevent certain things from being done.
But for most it is that their image is either too big or the wrong format.

I had the same problem. If you use the "Quick reply" function you cannot upload a picture. But if you hit "Reply" a new window will open up that will give you a "Browse" button below your text box, and you are in business.

Kinda need an explanation of symptoms/what is being done to accurately diagnose.

Thank you all. It was all my fault. I downloaded a file to edit and return and failed the check the file size.
