What is the term used to describe the pathological need to travel while a pandemic is on ?
Or do we need a new word for this ?

Are you talking about vaccinated or unvaccinated people? For vaccinated people, traveling to see loved ones they haven't see for more than a year is pretty safe, and certainly not pathological. At this point, everyone who wanted to be vaccinated should have been able to do so, and unvaccinated people have to take responsibility for their own safety.

In our country they are called by many names. From "Asinine to Ztupid" and even whole sentences like "Selfish Super Spreader" etc.

"Grandmakiller" seems to be a proper term to describe them too.

Wow what a bunch of shocking responses. The Land of the Free and Home of the Brave seems to have become The Land of the Locked Down and the Home of the Terrified. If you did a Risk Assessment on drinking tap water or driving you would stay locked in your shelters and die in two or three days from dehydration.

Get a shot or not, sit down in you favorite chair and try to remember all the good times you used to have. Then go out and do what you used to do.

A voice of reason, and the call of basic Freedoms.

It seems to have missed a number of your attentions (as it were) that the vaccine IS NOT a 100% cure. With an effficacy of 85-92% that means there are still an 8-15% chance you will catch the virus. You might not end up with as serious a case but you can still spread it. The vaccine only works when a certain minimum percentage of the population has taken the vaccine and the US is NOT there yet. And will never be because the First Amendent will prevent that happening. Just be thankful that these days you can still see Uncle Freddy almost whenever you want. 100 years ago you NEVER got to see Uncle Freddy again and the world still functioned fine.
The First Amendent was proposed by people who never in a million years even imagined something like covid coming along. Now I have been castigated a few times by being a little pedantic about the correct use of some words and been told to move with the times. Same applies to the First Amendent. It needs to change with the times and it is not doing so. As a result the US has had one of the worst responses to a pandemic that it is possible to imagine. You have been fortunate that the US as a whole has managed to work its way through the pandemic in much the same way that it finally managed to get involved in the 2nd WW. It is time that you stopped needing a kick up the rear to get motivated.

The constitution isn’t supposed to “change with the times.” While there are obvious exceptions eg; yelling fire in a crowded theater, inciting violence, we value speech even if we don’t agree with the content. The antidote for unpopular speech is more speech to refute the information. The mob does not rule the narrative. There is a reason the First amendment speaks of freedom of speech. You may think censorship is OK, that free expression is bad and that banning books is appropriate and your constitution may allow all for that, but here we value the ability to express ourselves. Which of Lord Fauchi”s pronouncements should result in a ban on the others? No masks, masks, multiple masks, outdoor spread happens, outdoor masks are unnecessary. The virus started in a wet market, is possibly from the institute of virology, came from bats, came from Pangolins. He has more diametrically opposed opinions than a Hydra. Who chooses the “correct opinion” for you. Criticize our response but you got your vaccine as a result of our coordination of operation warp speed.

Maybe I have got part of this wrong. Not concerned about 'freedom of speech' but more about the right to choose you own path whether or not that screws everybody else. I was criticizing your response to handling the pandemic, not about your production of a vaccine. It seems that the larger the country and the more levels of governing control that exists, coupled with whatever bit of the constitution that talks about right to choose, the longer it takes to get a unified response to a pandemic.

So what exactly is new zealand known for concerning its contributions to humanity? I cannot think of one thing other than escapism. Before you denounce humans on the world stage, you might actually want to get on that stage.

Supply actual data that confirms that for covid. Not "liberal science", but actual provable non-hysterical non-political verifiable data. The "worst kind" are those who pander emotion over facts. They are the true epidemic of modern times.

1. Vaccination is not 100% effective
2. Mutation can cause reinfection
3. The virus can spread through the air and
4. more so with physical contact.

3&4, The virus do not need to infect the individual spreading it. Just touching an infected surface and then shaking hands with someone who inevitable pick his nose will do the job.

No need for emotions, save it for the dead.

Where is the science to support you statement? Immunity by prior illness or vaccination means you don’t get the disease so how could you spread a disease you don’t have. This is a virus, not a bacteria. If what you are saying was true we could never go without masks. We would never bother being vaccinated because it wouldn’t solve the problem. We would insist people with antibodies would still need to be vaccinated. There is a point where we’ll have to make a decision to come out from under the bed.

Nope.
1. Vaccination is not 100% effective.
2. Mutations means another opportunity to be infected.
3. One can carry the virus physically by touching infected surfaces and hence spread it.
That is why the less community movement & physical contact, the better for controlling the spread.

Learn to read properly. I did not denounce humans on the world stage it was almost completely only a US stage since you guys are 'holier than thou' (apologies to those in the US who can read and actually know what is happening outside your own borders).
We are known for a lot of things and our contribution to humanity. Now the escapism bit is true. Several times here in NZ there are news media articles about the number of US citizens who have/are looking to escape to NZ. Especially the richer ones. Must be some good reason for that.
And finally the US have a death rate from covid of 1 death per 558 citizens - NZ has 1 death per 189,000 citizens. So I can tell you one thing that we are 339 times better at than you.
