Nice shot. Haven't seen nary a one here in S.W. Ohio.
Earlier today, I heard of an app called Cicada Safari. It allows you to upload photos of cicadas you find, so they can be tracked in "real time." So far, there are none reported within about 50 miles of me (Mid-Hudson Valley of NY).
I hope to find one soon though. I hear they give you their gold if you catch them! :-)
Good capture that is really sharp in DDL. Before long you will be brushing them off your lens
Great view! Hopefully, he finds a friend.

Last time they were around was 2004. My family has a river camp, down on the Ohio, and they have a different brood that will come out in 2025. So I get extra chances to see them.
