Thanks, love my 70-300 G. Great all around lens for nature. The close focus is pretty good. That shot is in manual focus with the focus set at the closest and I move the camera to focus.

Thanks. Yeah, they haven't started yet. Like I could tell anyway, my tinnitus is at the same frequency and it always sounds like cicadas.

True, going out today with my macro and tripod with focusing rail and try for some 1:1. That shot was at the absolute closest focus that my 70-300 can do.
