I get daily emails from The Family Handyman, giving me tips and miscellaneous information. Today, they reminded me about a simple way to dispose of razor blades. They said that in houses built before 1970, it was common to have a slot in the medicine cabinet for disposing of razor blades.
When my aunt and uncle moved into their new house decades ago, one unusual feature he pointed out was the slot for razor blades. Apparently, this was very common up till about 1970.
Hotel bathrooms used to have them. Imagine how many blades they accumulated.
