Try a chiropractor. They can work wonders if you have a good one. They also can help with posture and a good chair to help with the pain. Good luck.
My friend’s back was permanently ruined by a chiropractor.
I had a great experience with an orthopedic surgeon who X-rayed by back injury and prescribed a series or appointments with a certified physical therapist. I was 100% recovered within a year.
I use a normal office chair but I sit on a memory foam pillow and I have a second that I place to support my back when needed. Memory foam was develop for astronauts and believe me it's a lot more effective under your ass than your head.

Full a hot water bottle the rubber variety and place it against the small of your back and take co codimal tablets.

If you go into a place like Office Depot, you will find many of the chairs have a rating tag, that indicates the time when in theory you may be comfortable sitting. Obviously you would want the longest or highest possible comfort rating. You might also consider an additional cushion to support the small or your back. I used to use one years ago when flying a small plane. I now keep it in my car. Depending on exactly what your back problem is a cervical collar or some other form of neck support may help. I use one of those wrap around travel neck pillows when I drive.

I tried this but our local Office Depot's are closing for business.

As photographers some of us spend hours in front of our computers doing this and that with our photography. I have a terrible chair and an equally terrible back. Any suggestions for a good working office chair and desk as well would be very much appreciated.
https://all33.com/pages/all33-backstrong-chair-customer-reviews I saw this on Shark Tank the other night. People seemed to think it was special but I have no experience with it. Good Luck. Back pain sucks!
Not cheap but the AERON chair from Herman Miller has made my computer time much less achy!
...I guess I'm odd, or maybe a lifelong carpenter, heh, but I've had an inversion table since the early 90's. and a in-n-out back since the late 70's. I use a Steelcase chair every day at the 'puters, and the inversion table maybe every other day...hang upside down and give your discs a drink!

Look up the x-chair. I would love to have one, but it would be like buying another camera!
That is what I did 15 years ago after back surgery and doctor screaming - get it out of your back pocket ;-)
I now use a knee chair in the morning - sitting at 90 degrees when you get up is not a good idea for us with back issues. Forces your hips higher than your knees. Agree get up every now and then and walk around - stand vertical against a wall.

Maybe? Not sure the wife would like that much.
X-Chair with Heat/Massage option. Nothing better!
Try a "Saddle Chair".
After trying mine, my daughter got one for her office.
After trying hers, her boss bought one.
I have had a few of the so called executive chairs and none were comfortable or adjust enough to make them comfortable for me.
I just bought the OBUS Comfort chair the high back model with the adjustable lumbar model 1260-3, a few minutes of fiddling and it gives you the support you want. the seat adjusts front and back, up and down, the seat back adjusts up and down, the tilt adjusts, comes with instructions for the various adjustments. I spend at least three days a week in the chair for 7 hours of work and this one is working for me. it is not a plush supersoft comfort but a firm padding in the right place comfort.
Big bonus made in Canada rather than another China product. From an office furniture dealer it was $500, I see on the link it lists at $1,000+.
https://www.globalfurnituregroup.com/healthcare/products/build-it/12332The most comfortable chair is probably the Stressless Office chair but I can't afford one of them.
