That thing has camouflage for sure.
When you look through the window is the butte in Arches?
Nice shot.

Found it. Almost accidently.

#1: First view. Half way up a hill, intending to investigate an area that seemed likely, I stopped briefly to look at something, then glanced back behind me. Voila!

#2-5: A fraction of what I shot. Now that I know where the Stone Cabin is, and know the best route to it, I'll wait for a more 'photogenic' day to return and shoot it for 'real.'

One thing learned, however, is that the artist's rendering (ref: my post a few days ago) is to some extent made up. Artistic license, it would appear....

Good for you - wow, talk about hiding in plain sight, you could walk by than any number of times and miss it. Great pics.

Very nice. I like the composition of you taking the image through the window.

Well done, that quest is now complete. Excellent photos for sure but we are all waiting for the better light images once you get them.

A sun rise/set would make a great subject when framed in the window. Mind sharing the GP co-ordinates?

I know how hard it is to find things in nature. The first time I looked for Devil's Bridge jn the Sedona area I was standing on it before I saw it. These are great photos. Keep posting, I look to see if you have posted anything, then look to see if anything else looks interesting.

Undeterred perseverance pays off. Definitely well camouflaged and hard to find. These shots are already great. I like the last one best.

Wonderful set, Jim! Congratulations on your find. Your artist got his license from the same place that issues poetic licenses.

Great shots, would be interesting to know the story behind it. Why the location and how long it was used. Looking forward for more shots of same and others.

Great story and shots. Your previous posts on looking for the stone Cabin have been very interesting, I thought at one point the concrete building in a previous post might have been the end but your perseverance has paid off.
